Courses and training

Workshops that teach the method, rather than doing the project for you.

Sessions are for undergraduate and postgraduate students, residents, clinicians, and faculty. A department can book a closed group. Dates are set when the group and the syllabus are agreed.

Half day

From topic to research question

How to narrow a clinical interest into a question, a design, and outcomes that can actually be studied.

Half day

Protocols and sample-size planning

What a protocol must decide before ethics review or data collection, and how to read a sample-size assumption.

Two sessions

Questionnaires and data collection

Building a form that matches the question, with attention to missing data and what not to collect.

Half day

Reading statistics with a clinician’s eye

Tests, tables, and figures: what the analysis claims, and what it does not.

Two sessions

Scoping and systematic reviews

When each review type is appropriate, how a search is built, and how appraisal changes the synthesis.

Half day

Writing for an international journal

Structure, clarity, and journal format, including Arabic-to-English scientific editing for local studies.

Short workshop

Responding to reviewers

How to answer point by point without overclaiming or quietly changing the study.

Training subscriptions and institutional accounts can follow a first workshop, once we know the department’s level and language.
